Contributor Guide
Welcome to the Velvet Room. This webnovel is an open-source collaborative project! Here is how you can weave your own threads into the story.
1. Editing Chapters
See a typo? Want to fix some grammar or suggest better phrasing? You can edit chapters directly!
- While reading any chapter, click the Pencil Icon in the top navigation bar.
- This will take you straight to GitHub, where you can modify the text and submit a "Pull Request" for the author to approve.
2. Creating Characters (NPCs & Main)
The world of Elysians needs citizens! You can submit your own original characters to populate Suzukaze city.
- NPCs: Create classmates, teachers, shopkeepers, or random citizens that Mika might run into during his daily life.
- Other Main Characters: Have a grand idea for a Persona user? You can pitch new core cast members! Submit a character profile detailing their Arcana, Persona, and backstory.
3. Social Links (Confidants)
It wouldn't be Persona without Social Links! You can write and submit entire Social Link storylines.
- Pick an Arcana (e.g., The Chariot, The Hierophant) and create a 10-Rank storyline for a character.
- Submit these as separate markdown files in the project repository for review. If they fit the theme, they become official canon!
4. Spin-offs & Side Stories
Do you want to explore what happens when Mika isn't around? The Elysians universe is massive.
- You can write Side Stories focusing on other characters' perspectives, slice-of-life moments, or even entirely separate Spin-off arcs that take place in the same universe.
5. The Review Process (Quality Control)
To ensure the webnovel remains high quality and true to the vision, no one can edit the live website directly.
- When you make a change on GitHub, you are actually submitting a Pull Request (a suggestion).
- The Story Director (Mikazuki Tsuruya) will personally review every single submission.
- Please note: Not all submissions will be accepted. If your writing fits the world perfectly, it will be approved and merged into the official story! If it conflicts with the author's vision, breaks the lore, or simply doesn't fit the current direction, it will be politely declined.
- Don't be discouraged if a submission isn't accepted! It's simply part of the collaborative editing process.
